I'm of the disappointing belief that we are all fools to believe that Botterill is going to do squat to help this team this season. His excuse for their underperformance is to blame it on Murray for the bad contracts. If we are lucky, he will get a couple of mid-round picks for some of the team's UFAs before the deadline. It's truly sad that as Sabres fans we cling to an unfounded hope that Botterill might actually do something, do anything to help this team. It wouldn't surprise me if he didn't even move his UFAs for any assets whatsoever. Quite honestly, I'm sort of scared of him making a trade in actuality. He dumped Evander Kane for essentially nothing, his trade of ROR blew up in his face, acquiring Miller has been a big disappointment, he mismanaged the contract situation with Skinner (resulting in overpaying the guy... he got paid more to stay and play near his hometown than Duchene got to switch jerseys and join the Preds), and so we can cling to his trade of Nylander for Jokiharju as his only remote success whatsoever. I'm starting to wonder if, as fans, we should be careful of what we are asking for! |

8 NHL defensemen.. well isn't technically anyone on the roster an NHL Player. So he can trade one of them for a player that's a healthy scratch every night because he's an NHL forward.. |

Do you really think San Jose and Anaheim are tied for dead last in the league? Check the standings Garth |

He’s actually helped this team a lot. We are in a playoff race this late into the season because Botterill is righting the ship. So show a little gratitude for the guy making this team better. |

Well sorry to say Murray had a big hand in this mess, with his 22 trades and draining the pipeline of any prospects, maybe he wouldn't have had to bring in some of these stopgap players. Botts has made mistakes, but to blame him for everything is ridiculous, this goes back on Darcy, Murray and Botts, this is a failure of the last 9yrs |

9 Million per for a guy who's on pace for 20 goals
Nice Contract
That's why you don't pay a guy who has a career contract year |

I gotta E1 on this one. Kapanen for Scandella, a second rounder and another player or prospect still negotiable |

If he had a moderately capable center, he could be closer to 30-35. |

Just a horrific contract. Sabres have 2 terrible deals on wingers eating up cap space. They never learn. |
